Reading Kant's Groundwork
25 January - 5 April
This 10 week course will undertake an online reading of Kant’s Groundwork of the Metaphysics of Morals, which is, without doubt, one of the most important and influential books on moral philosophy ever written. After completing the Groundwork we will go on to examine some commentaries on it by contemporary philosophers, such as Christine Korsgaard and Derek Parfit.
As it is the first group of its kind, we are offering it at a special rate of just £20 for the 10 weeks.
What you get
- Reading suggested week by week, with questions to help guide your reading.
- Access to the course Moodle.
- Professionally moderated online forums, where you can post questions and comments, and reply to others' posts.
Pro-rata rates may be available for those who want to join part way into the course, subject to availability of places. Those interested in joining the course late should email firstname.lastname@example.org.
(This course tracks a 'live' course given by Sam Fremantle at the London School of Philosophy; anyone attending will be welcome to continue the discussion with LSP students at occasional post class pub visits, of which they will be notified!)

We may also set one up devoted to reading his other papers if there is sufficient interest. In the meantime we ask that you register your interest in the form below, and we will notify you when they're ready.
