Celebrating Parfit: a one day conference examining the work of Derek Parfit, July 15 2017, London
Derek Parfit, who died on 1st of January this year, was one of the most interesting and original moral philosophers of recent times. The International School of Philosophy CIC is holding a one-day conference in honour of his work on the 15th July at Conway Hall in London. Details of the conference are yet to be finalised, and the lineup yet to be announced. But given the extensive and intense interest in Parfit's work we anticipate the conference selling out. We therefore advise people to register their interest in attending the conference using the form below, so we can advise them as soon as tickets go on sale.
Call for papers
There will be several panels throughout the day focussing on various aspects of Parfit's works. We invite submissions from those who would like to give papers at these panels. Abstracts of the papers should be no more than 400 words, designed for talks that will last 20 minutes with 10 minutes for Questions and Answers from the audience and other members of the panel.
